Discovery Zone Learning Center is committed to following the standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  Sharing the opinion of NAEYC and other early childhood research centers, Discovery Zone Learning Center believes that quality education starts with quality educators.  The program believes that the education of teachers is critical to the success of students.

We realize that a great deal of your thought and consideration has gone into your choice of a child-care center for your child (NAEYC Accreditation Brochure). Our mission is to provide a caring and nurturing environment where your child can learn and develop through chronologically and developmentally appropriate activities (NAEYC Family Guide). At Discovery Zone Learning Center our programs offer peace of mind to each parent by providing the highest standards of childcare and education. We believe that during your child's early years he or she will learn basic social, intellectual, emotional, and physical skills. These skills are essential for your child's "growth". Discovery Zone Learning Center strives to provide your child with these lifelong skills. We also believe children below the age of eight learn best when they have: objects they can manipulate; chances to safely explore the world around them; and opportunities to experiment and learn from trial and error.

Discovery Zone Learning Center facilitates learning and growth for children of all developmental levels in a creative, multicultural atmosphere. Your child will be encouraged to explore his or her own world and discover that he/she is a unique individual.

What your child will receive from Discovery Zone Learning Centers:

• Math concepts: measuring, comparisons, sequence, and classification.
• Science ideas: cause/effect, weather and time.
• Socialization skills: group participation and sharing.

Both full and part-time programs are available to meet your family’s needs - open year round. The Department of Public Health is our licensing agency. Please call us for the current tuition schedule that, we believe, you will find competitive.

Enrollment is on a “first come, first serve”, availability basis. We do not discriminate in any manner. Availability, of course, will fluctuate throughout the year. There is a non-refundable registration fee & one week security deposit at the time of enrollment; currently $50.00 per child
